Alina Nedelskaya
I am a phytocosmetologist. I have been gathering herbs for 55 years and creating natural cosmetics for 45 years.
Recipes passed down from generation to generation
In my family, living in harmony with nature was simply a way of life. Recipes were passed down from generation to generation. The laws of Nature were explained with great care and attention — which herbs work well together and when each one is most effective.
Nature has a solution for everything
We simply need to understand the synergy of its natural elements.
I used to go “out into the fields” with my grandfather to gather herbs. He taught me to distinguish their scents, understand the right harvesting time, and know which herbs could heal and which should be left untouched so as not to make a mistake.
With my grandmother, I made arrangements for relatives, neighbours and friends: we dried herbs, decorated bouquets and gave away what we had gathered together in the fields.
In primary school, all my games revolved around herbs, trees and insects. I climbed willow trees and dreamed of creating the water of life and a philosopher’s stone from mercury.
In secondary school and at university, I made masks, toners and lotions for friends and classmates. Later, after graduating, I made cosmetics for the management of the factory where I worked.
Later, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and became a mathematics teacher. Along with homework, I gave my pupils cleansing masks that helped treat teenage acne.
The philosophy of the “three pillars”
I came to understand that the causes of wrinkles, loss of structural support and puffiness lie on a deeper level. I began practising cosmetic massage and gradually developed my own criteria for improving the health of the whole body, which I formulated as the philosophy of the “three pillars”.
Years ago, my grandmother used to predict that I would one day “straighten people’s chimneys”. The idea clearly resonated with approaches used in kinesiology and cranial techniques. A holistic algorithm for structuring a cosmetology treatment gradually began to take shape.
The number and variety of requests kept growing. Appointments were booked one or two months in advance. In my family, it was believed that if a person came to you for help, then you must be able to help them.
